On March 24th, in response to the COVID 19 Pandemic, recognising the threat to the safety of our workers, our clients, our community, we took the decision at senior management level to completely shut down our operations in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
We have been heartened by the 100% support received from our workforce and our key clients NI Water, Kier-Phoenix Operations, Kier-Firmus Energy, Diageo Engineering and GRSL | ESB over the past 6 weeks.
In light of ongoing client discussions and acting on the combined advice of the CEF and CIF we have implemented a strategic revision of our management system and approach COVID 19 risk assessment and mitigation. The system revision provides risk management directives for health monitoring, social distancing, PPE provision, site signage, welfare facilities, site travel and accommodation management throughout all our operations. Health is placed squarely at the forefront of what we do.
We are open for business and as of May 4th have commenced a staged return to work on NI Water and Kier-Phoenix Operations projects, with Kier-Firmus recommencing in Warrenpoint on May 11th, GRSL | ESB in Drogheda on May 21st, and Diageo in Dublin on June 1st. The managed return allows full control of the back to work process and we look forward to being back to 100% in 4 weeks time.
